Laser Susan (redux) is an interactive light experience developed by myself and Dina Herring for the Exploratorium's annual After Dark Glow. Originally created as a small scale interactive experience, Laser Susan (Redux) was reconceptualized as an immersive room scale experience. Users are given control of a UV laser pendulum that interacts with a phosphorescent floor, creating an intimate view of light, motion and the passage of time.

In addition to the physical pendulum, a full wall digital projection mirrors the light trails, blending the physical space onto a virtual canvas. Users can control which filtered modes are active, allowing digital manipulations to be a layered part of the experience.
